Mentoring program

Applications for the second round of the Melbourne Press Club’s new mentoring program have now closed. The program aims to connect early career journalists with experienced colleagues in ongoing supportive relationships.

Under the program, mentees – journalists with up to seven years professional experience – will have the opportunity to benefit from the insights, observations and wisdom offered by senior journalists from outside their organisation who they are paired up with.

The Melbourne Press Club facilitates connections and oversees the scheme but is not directly involved in individual relationships.

Guidelines have been developed to allay any concerns about confidentiality, talent poaching and commercial sensitivities.

Applications close 5pm, Monday 19 June 2017.

If you are interested in becoming a mentor, please contact the Melbourne Press Club office at or by phone on (03) 9614 2779.

Other queries about the program can be directed to the same address.

MPC Mentoring is supported by the Copyright Agency Cultural Fund
