Birthday Special Event: The Future of the Media

In February 1972, Melbourne’s three newspaper editors held a panel discussion to discuss the future of the Press. It was the first event staged by the Melbourne Press Club. As part of the celebrations for the 40th birthday of the MPC, a modern-day panel of editors will discuss The Future of the Media.  The panellists will be ABC News Director Kate Torney, Herald Sun Deputy Editor Jill Baker, online publisher Eric Beecher and The Age editor-in-chief Paul Ramadge.  The Discussion will be moderated by Margaret Simons Director, Centre for Advanced Journalism.
