Quill Awards

The Quill Awards for Excellence in Victorian Journalism are the premier media awards in the state.

At the 2014 Quill Award night on Friday 20 March 2015 a total of 29 Quills were awarded to recognise the best journalism of 2014 in print, television, radio and online.

The best category winner of the Quills is selected as the Gold Quill winner, with a $5,000 cash prize provided by Monash University, the Press Club’s principal sponsor.

The 2014 Monash Gold Quill winner was Adele Ferguson for her expose of the multi-million dollar financial advice scandal at the Commonwealth Bank.

Judging panels for the Quills are assembled by the Melbourne Press Club, drawing on present and former journalists and editors and other relevant professionals.
