This is highly impactful investigative journalism, built on a long history of reporting dating back to 2006. A strong reporting team was unbowed by threats and external pressure and carefully cultivated relationships of trust with sources. The political ramifications were significant and the public interest was served in cleaning up the construction industry – John Setka resigned and the CFMEU was forced into administration.
