Judges’ Citation:

This was a terrific exclusive. Kristy combined never before seen footage, raw and emotional interviews and great story telling, to take viewers from inside the cockpit, the moment the stunt plane crashed, to the heartstopping rescue operation and the pilot’s long road to recovery.

The judges were impressed with how she gained the trust of her subjects to reveal not only how the crash impacted the pilot, but his team and family.

It was a compelling report that showed what really happened when disaster struck at the Avalon Airshow.
