2018 Quills: Business News

Adele Ferguson, Lesley Robinson, Nassim Khadem & Lucy Carter of The Age/ABC Four Corners won the 2018 Business News Quill for 'Mongrel Bunch of Bastards'.

Judges' citation

A chilling story, told well and tightly structured, Adele Ferguson’s reporting revealed what can happen to small businesses targeted by the Australian Tax Office. Ferguson and her team showed how people caught in the ATO’s crosshairs have scant means to fight back and can be left with shattered lives.

'Blowing the whistle on the tax office’s 'cash grab', The Age, 9 April 2018
