The second cadet in the Regional Journalism Fellowship Program run by the Press Club, the Greater Shepparton Foundation and the McPherson Media Group, will start at The Shepparton News in two months.

Sharlene Baldo, from Benalla, will be the second school leaver to benefit from the Program, funded by the Brian M Davis Foundation.

The first cadet, Kayla Jones, from Shepparton, finished her six-month cadetship earlier this month and is now preparing for a university course in 2025.
