The Australian media has exposed corruption across the region, which has seen foreign officials pursue legal action in Australian courts.

Join AIIA Victoria, in partnership with the Melbourne Press Club, for a panel discussion featuring Chris Ives of global financial and risk advisory firm Kroll, MinterEllison Senior Associate (Media) Tess McGuire, and former ABC North and South Asia correspondent James Oaten, with moderator Michael Bachelard of The Age.

About the panellists

Christopher Ives is an associate managing director in Kroll’s Investigations, Diligence and Compliance practice and leads Kroll’s Melbourne practice. A qualified accountant, Christopher is an investigations, asset recovery and disputes specialist with 20 years’ experience.

Tess McGuire is a Senior Associate (Media) at law firm MinterEllison.

James Oaten is a senior reporter and video journalist who specialises in social affairs. He is the former North and South Asia correspondent for the ABC, and has covered major international events from India’s COVID catastrophe to the assassination of Shinzo Abe.
