About our guests
Michael Bachelard is a senior writer and former deputy editor and investigations editor of The Age. He has worked in Canberra, Melbourne and Jakarta, has written two books and won multiple awards for journalism, including the Gold Walkley. (He’s also president of the Melbourne Press Club.)
Ben Butler has investigated everything from bikie gangs to multibillion dollar international frauds. He has been News Corp’s National Investigations Editor, and has worked for The Age, The Australian and Guardian Australia. He now works at the ABC.
Moderated by William Summers, a British-Australian journalist who specialises in FoI and MP allowances, and author of a recently published FoI guide for Australian journalists.
