In a rare opportunity, we have two of Australia’s finest business journalists – Adele Ferguson and Chris Gillett – discussing their award-winning partnership, and revealing how they identify the stories, what groundwork they do, how they plan and then deliver meaningful and often, ground breaking, business journalism.

A recent two-part Four Corners investigation, Duped - Food Exposed, saw Adele, Chris and the team behind the investigation into Australia's childcare sector team up with forensic food scientists to examine the integrity of Australia's food supply.

About the panellists

Adele Ferguson has won every major journalism award in Australia, including the Graham Perkin Australian Journalist of The Year, the Gold Quill and the Gold Walkley. Earlier this year, she and Chris Gillett won the Grant Thornton Business Reporting Quill for their stories Affinity Exposed, part of their ABC series on the nation’s childcare crisis.

Chris Gillett has shared many of those awards, working alongside Adele as one of Australia’s finest investigative TV producers.

Leona Goh is a Risk Consulting Partner at Grant Thornton with extensive experience in risk management, corporate governance and internal audit. She advises Boards and Executive Teams on strengthening governance, risk oversight, regulatory compliance and organisational resilience.

Moderated by Emily Barrett, Managing Editor, The Saturday Paper. Emily was previously an economic and markets reporter in London and New York, working for Dow Jones/The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg News.
