Media Release: Melbourne Press Club announces new board members

Following the Melbourne Press Club’s Annual General Meeting today (October 22), the Club has welcomed five new board members.

They reflect a broadening of the board’s expertise and will provide a boost to the Press Club’s financial, events and sponsorship focus.

“I’m delighted to welcome five new board members, who will expand the Club’s skills and experience as we support and advocate for journalism in Victoria,” President Michael Bachelard said. 

“The fact that these excellent people are keen to join our board is gratifying, and a vote of confidence in the Club’s future.”

Joining the board are:

Sarah Coghlan from GRACosway; Mary Gearin, a journalist and communications specialist; Leona Goh from Grant Thornton; Chloe Jeffers from Thrive PR, and Dean Levitan from MinterEllison.

The Melbourne Press Club thanks outgoing board members Patrick Considine, Richard Leder, and Matilda Marozzi, for their stellar contributions and what they have brought to the board.

Officeholders are:

Treasurer – Veronica Scott
Secretary –  Jay Mueller

Membership is $100 for journalists, $150 for associate members and $40 for students.
