Judges statement

Gray was first at the scene of a random terror attack on the streets of Melbourne, filing accurate and detailed reports on a story of national significance with little or no information from police. Her live descriptions were riveting – transporting the listener to the scene – and her social media reporting was even trending on Twitter.
