The Melbourne Press Club is pleased to announce applications are now open for the 2023-24 Michael Gordon Journalism Fellowships program.

Visit the Gordon Fellowships home page

The fellowships provide annual grants to fund reporting projects in areas including Indigenous affairs, migration policy, human rights and international development.

We encourage applications from journalists who identify as being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage, as well as journalists from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

The program is open to all journalists, photographers and videographers working in news organisations large and small, across all media. We also welcome applications from freelance journalists and accomplished journalism students.

Applications for this round are open until 5pm Tuesday 31 October 2023.

The Michael Gordon Journalism Fellowships are supported by The Copyright Agency Cultural Fund, with further support from Nine Entertainment, the National Press Club of Australia, and Robyn Carter.

We would be grateful if you would display the flyer in your newsroom and pass details of the program on to colleagues and staff.
