For the first time since 2018, the Melbourne Press Club is increasing its annual membership fee.

From January 1, 2024, the journalist membership rate will be $100 a year, up from $85.

Associate members' rate increases to $150. Student membership remains at $40 a year.

The MPC's decision is a reflection of the difficult economic circumstances that the club, along with many businesses and organisations, confronted this year.
