28th Quills: Young Journalist of the Year, sponsored by Wilnic Family Trust

Sarah Booth of the Herald Sun has won the 2022 Young Journalist of the Year Quill.

Judges' citation

Sarah submitted a high quality body of work, showing she consistently breaks big stories that set the agenda in health reporting. Gaining the trust of the trauma surgeon who saved the Premier's life and a victim of the White Island volcano blast is an impressive feat for a young journalist.
